The Martyn House is a unique Glamping destination in the North Georgia Mountains. It is located in Ellijay, Georgia and is owned and operated by JoAnn and Rick Lucas. We are known for our unique Glamping Bed and Breakfast, Farm To Table Dinners and to date we are recognized as a destination wedding venue for those looking for a truly intimate wedding. Our B&B is unique because our guests stay in luxury sleeping tents from India. 
Each tent is secluded, which allows our guests the opportunity to experience nature. Our guests however do not miss out on all the comforts of home because the experience allows glamorous camping; where luxury in the wild means fine linens and gourmet meals. Some call it Glam Camping, we call it Glamping. 
Each tent, in addition to the large bedroom, has its own private bath and covered veranda. Breakfast is served at the main house, which is an old 1930’s Farm House. Often, our guests never leave the property. They may indulge in a bit of self-pampering with massages, walking the many trails around the property or just lounging in a hammock. Other guests may feel creative and take private class in photography in Ricks studio. The more adventurous go white water rafting, kayaking, tubing, fly-fishing, hiking or biking. In our neighboring town of Blue Ridge, Georgia you can stroll through art galleries, gourmet shops and numerous other stores or enjoy a great lunch at one of the many restaurants. You may also choose to browse the local antique stores right here in Ellijay! No matter what the day brings, you can be assured it will always be magical.
We are also an intimate event facility. We host several Farm to Table dinners a year where we usually partner with local restaurants who cook locally grown food and meat.
If the Martyn House is not having their own event, they are hosting one for someone else. These have included rehearsal dinners, corporate dinners, artist retreats, weddings, workshops, and many other occasions where people want a special place for their event.
One of the things that make the Martyn House so special is their fabulous Gypsy Faire tents that transport you to a different time and place. JoAnn is the co founder of Gypsy Faire Tents and is now offering these tents for rental. We are offering these tents for special events throughout the South East.
