Bed and Breakfast

The Martyn House is a unique Bed and Breakfast where our guests stay in luxury sleeping tents from India.  We are an adult only facility (18 and over). Reservations require a minimum two night stay ( we however recommend three to have enough time to truly unwind) each night includes a hearty breakfast the next morning.  Each tent is $180 per night plus tax (double occupancy) Monday-Wednesday and $220 plus tax from Thursday-Sunday nights. Our tents are desert tents (100% cotton) and therefore are quite comfortable in the hottest summer days.

The Martyn House closes December 1st and reopens April 1st except for our Guesthouse which is open December 1-April 1st for a 5 night retreat. Reservations do fill up fast and we book up to a year in advance!

Reservations for our tents can be made by clicking on either of the two buttons below.

Our bed and breakfast is unique in that it  has four beautifully decorated Gypsy Faire Luxury Sleeping Tents we call it Glamping.  Don’t let the word “tent” fool you, as each tent is beautiful inside with all the comforts of home while being environmentally friendly. All tents are heated and will keep you toasty warm on those cooler nights, and we have  fans for those warm summer nights to keep you comfortable. They each have their own 6 x 12 private bath with on demand hot showers and composting toilets. The entrance has a large 6 x 12 covered front porch with tables and chairs overlooking the woods or meadow. The bedrooms are 12 x 12 (double occupancy) with a small sitting area. The beds have luxurious bedding. Hot water may be heated for coffee or tea .

Imagine snow falling, you take a walk through the woods listening to  the few winter birds left and the crunch of newly fallen  snow under foot. Back at the guest house a bonfire awaits you and  a hot outdoor bubble bath with champagne of course!  Your evenings are spent curled up reading, relaxing, listening to music or just sipping wine watching the stars.   Mornings can be spent in bed with a hot latte or tea,  while watching the deer graze in the meadow.

The package is for 5 nights  – upon your arrival there will be a gift basket filled with all kinds of goodies for your week stay. It includes 2 dinners (one the night you arrive and the second the night before you leave, the rest of your meals can be eaten at a local pub or cooking in the guesthouse.)  Included in your stay if you choose is a photography class or home brew class with Rick and/or pottery class with JoAnn.

Cost for 1 person for 5 nights is $795- 2 people $995 / Massages are optional and are $95 an hour

Reserve the entire property

Why not  reserve the entire property to share with friends. This includes all four sleeping tents, which sleep up to 8 individuals or 4 couples and 18 acres of woods, meadows, trails and pond. We start by serving you a welcoming supper the first evening you arrive (after 3). Later that evening relax with friends around a bonfire listening to music.

The next morning starts with a hearty breakfast on the veranda. The days activities can be as adventurous or relaxing as you wish.   Some activities can include mountain or road biking, hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, or canoeing.Amy_Kevin Wedding 11_12_058
