JoAnn’s Studio

JoAnn plays in clay, making unique one of a kind sculptural serving pieces  and so much more. She paints and creates collages using various textures. All the bath products for the tents including soaps, skeeter and room sprays were created by JoAnn. She even designed and built her own unique outdoor bathroom to enjoy the quiet solitude of an evening bath time. Other talents include weaving baskets and making wreaths. She calls herself a multimedia artist who is inspired to create.

One of her greatest gifts is her ability to guide and inspire others by helping them to create lives of authenticity. She allows them to look deeper into their own souls and find their true passions. Often this is done in group settings or one on one. JoAnn uses creativity as a means to tap into peoples life visions, often they do vision boards or other exercises which open  hidden desires and talents. Her studio overlooks a beautiful wildflower meadow. Like all artists, there are always special creations that come along that are inspired by nature, the farm or just creative living.  The sculptures and interesting artistic expressions that are sprinkled all over the property attest to this creative inspiration that is so prominent at The Martyn House.

 

JoAnn’s Bio

JoAnn is an accomplished artist, designer and gardener with an admitted compulsion for natural intuitive healing and a spiritual connection with the earth.

A lifelong serial entrepreneur, she has started and grown several successful businesses, including a mail order catalog/ home furnishings retail & wholesale and a successful home furnishings manufacturer’s representative organization.

For almost 10 years, JoAnn was CEO of Eminence Style, a design & import firm specializing in European Country furniture and custom designed upholstery. She has an extensive visual merchandising background a gift with marketing and has won awards for both.

JoAnn consults small businesses and gives talks and lectures on how to be true to yourself and nurture a business and life that reflects that.

In addition to her business experiences, she leads workshops on healing, personal growth and entrepreneurship.

She can be described as energetic, creative and endlessly trusting of the power we all have within us. She will challenge and inspire you to live a more creative and fulfilling life both personally and in business.

JoAnn is the co-founder of The Martyn House in Ellijay GA. The Martyn House is a beautifully restored farm that is a unique B&B where their guests  stay in luxury tents they call it Glamping. They host several Farm To Table Dinners each year and offer an array of other creative and inspiring ideas see for yourself whats happening at The Martyn House.

Her studio work includes, but is never limited, to her pottery, a collection of aromatherapy body & home products, kitchen wear designs and a beautiful collection of luxury outdoor garden or event tents.
